Operation Nets 50 Violent Iowa Fugitives

WATERLOO, Iowa — More than 50 violent fugitives in Iowa are off the streets as part of a nationwide law enforcement operation.

KWWL reports U.S. Marshals made arrests in Woodbury, Dickinson, Black Hawk, Fayette, Dubuque, and Linn counties. The sting is called Operation Violence Reduction and it’s been six weeks in the making.

A total of 8,000 people were arrested nationwide.

As part of the operation, investigators also found 17 kids who had been reported missing.
