Oklahoma Earthquake Felt in Central Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa – A 5.6 magnitude earthquake  struck Oklahoma Saturday morning and many people felt the tremor here in Iowa.

Shortly after 7 a.m., a 5.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the U.S. Geological Survey near Pawnee, Oklahoma.

No major damage has been reported.

The earthquake was felt across much of the Central U.S., people have reported feeling the tremor as far south as El Paso, Texas, and as far north as Minnesota.
