Norwalk fire investigators are trying to determine how a fire started at an apartment Sunday.

Around 4 p.m. crews were called to the Windflower Apartment Complex. When they arrived they found two garage stalls on fire.

Once the fire was out, officials determined a sofa sitting between the two structures caught fire and spread to the buildings.

Investigators are looking into what caused the couch to catch fire, “Right now, we do not have any witnesses to explain how this fire started on the exterior of the building,” said Capt. Doug Richardson

Officials estimate the damage at $10,000.
