Another candidate has joined the campaign trail in hopes of becoming Iowa’s governor.
Democrat Paul Dahl announced his bid for governor this weekend in Dubuque.
He has no political experience but says he wants a fresh perspective at Terrace Hill. Currently he is a bus driver from Webster City.
He says he wants more high-speed rail, more renewable energy projects, and wants to encourage more young people to become farmers.
“I am running for governor of Iowa because I think that we can make Iowa better. I think I would be the best candidate to do that, given my life experiences, given my education, given my ethics and given my energy,” says Dahl.
Dahl joins State Senator Jack Hatch, State Representative Tyler Olson, and former Representative Bob Krause as Democrats looking to win the job in 2014.
