Heavy machinery was on hand at the Altoona Public Library Friday to put a new piece of art in place.
Des Moines artist John Brommel watched as his 500 pound sculpture was installed at it’s new home.
Brommel says it took him about six weeks to complete the sculpture, which is made almost entirely from re-purposed materials.
The library is having a celebration of the new sculpture Saturday at 1 p.m.
There will be all sorts of crafts, games and even a bounce house.
