The second trial for a Wapello county man accused of killing his pregnant wife has been postponed.

Seth Techel’s trial was scheduled to begin on Monday, but the Ottumwa press is reporting that the trial is being postponed because of a medical condition affecting Techel’s attorney.

Techel is charged with 1st degree murder for allegedly shooting his wife Lisa in May of 2012.

His first trial in March ended in a mistrial. A hearing for the case is scheduled for next week in Ottumwa.
