STORY COUNTY, Iowa - Officials have released more information into the arrests of two Webster City High School wrestling coaches.
Ted Larson, 50, and Terry Nessa, 52 were arrested over the weekend. Both men are charged with willful injury – felony assault, first degree burglary – burglary/breaking and entering, and second degree criminal mischief.
Larson is the head wrestling coach and serves as the director of transportation for the Webster City Community School District. Nessa is a volunteer assistant wrestling coach.
The criminal complaint states the men drove to a home in rural Story County looking for Larson's wife. They forced their way into the home where police said they assaulted a male resident. The complaint says the men also damaged the interior of the home, broke several windows of a barn located on the property and vandalized two of the victim's vehicles.
The victim was treated for severe lacerations above both of his eyes. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Larson and Nessa were taken to the Story County Jail. They are being held on a $40,000 bond.
