Moose Spotted in Northeast Iowa

BUCHANAN COUNTY, Iowa — A moose looking for a meal has wandered into northeast Iowa.

The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a moose sighting.

A photo of the moose was taken by a homeowner near Sumner Thursday. Another photographer, Kip Ladage of Tripoli, took a photo of the moose near Frderika.

This is the second reported moose sighting in the county this year.

Two other sightings of a moose were reported in Cedar County in March.
