Fayette County man charged in a case that injured a Sheriff’s Deputy

One person is charged in an anhydrous ammonia leak that injured a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy last week.

Thirty six-year-old Kyle Boleyn is charged with criminal mischief, possession of anhydrous ammonia with the intent to make methamphetamine, and failure to register as a sex offender.

Police say Boleyn was spotted trying to steal anhydrous ammonia last week.

A Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop the theft and was overcome by the fumes.

The deputy was briefly hospitalized and has since recovered.
