URBANDALE, Iowa — The Urbandale School District is holding a meeting to address the deaths of two of its students.
A 6th grader and an 8th grader each took their own lives last month. Both were students at Urbandale Middle School.
Administrators say the deaths are not connected and the two students did not know each other.
A “Hope and Healing” meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. at Urbandale High School.
The meeting will focus on how to help students who are dealing with the death of a friend and how parents can spot the warning signs of a child who may be considering suicide.
