Marshall County Sheriff Leaving for New Job with Polk County Sheriff’s Office


MARSHALL COUNTY, Iowa — The Marshall County Sheriff is leaving office.

The Marshalltown Times-Republican reports that Steve Hoffman has accepted a position with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as one of four chiefs.

Hoffman is not required to leave his elected position in Marshall County but is opting to work with leadership to transition.

Hoffman has worked in Marshall County since 1991 and has been elected as the county’s sheriff twice.
