The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge continues this August and one man is taking the challenge on the road.

Larry Kaplan is taking the Ice Bucket Challenge in all 50 states in 30 days.

He was in Iowa Wednesday morning, and rather than the traditional ice water, he took a more Iowan approach, dumping corn feed on his head. Kaplan says he also had buffalo wings dumped on his head in New York.

Later Wednesday, he is going down to Kansas City to pour barbeque sauce on his head; all in the name of raising money and awareness for the disease.

“I`ve taken time off from my wife, kids and my business for 30 days to do this,” said Kaplan. “If you have ALS, once you find out, you don`t get to go back to your normal life. After this is done, I get to go back to my normal life.”

Kaplan says he's not looking forward to Alaska where they plan to use salmon, salmon roe, and ocean water.
