Police Release Name of Victim and Suspect in State Fair Stabbing Investigation

DES MOINES, Iowa – A 17-year-old is in custody after one person was injured in a stabbing at the Iowa State Fair Tuesday night.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety says it happened around 10:25 p.m. near the SW corner of the fairgrounds.  21-year-old Tay Ronce Denton was injured and transported to Mercy Hospital.  He is currently in stable condition.

Yuri Green was arrested and charged with two counts of willful injury.

Two other juveniles were involved in the altercation.  That are not facing criminal charges but they have been banned from the Fairgrounds.
