DES MOINES, Iowa — A former car salesman will learn his sentence Thursday in two OWI cases.

Steve Luebke will be in court today. His cases stem from two incidents last September.

Police say Luebke mixed prescription drugs and alcohol and crashed a Chevy Camero on Interstate 235.

He got a ride home from that incident.

The next morning was arrested for drunk driving in Jasper County. That night, he was also arrested for the Camaro crash.

According to the Des Moines Register, Luebke’s attorney and prosecutors are recommending Luebke be sentenced to three years in prison for the crash in Polk County.

He faces a maximum five year sentence in Jasper County.

Prosecutors there have agreed to let him serve the two sentences concurrently.

Luebke, who was working at Deery Brothers Chevrolet, is still in the Polk County Jail.
