KELLEY, Iowa -- The city of Kelley is dealing with a case of cat hoarding.

Officials say a man living there has a lot of cats in his home.

They aren't sure how many, but 28 were removed a couple weeks ago and there are plans to remove at least 20 more next month.

Kelley's mayor says the city has been working with the homeowner to get rid of the cats but all the local shelters are full.

That's why the Slater Animal Hospital is offering discounts on check-ups and spaying or neutering for anyone who adopts one of them. For information on how to adopt one of the cats you can contact Kelley’s City Hall at 515-769-2213.
