One Johnston collector is keeping track of the medal count for Team USA.

Rich Hoidahl is sharing his collection of Olympic memorabilia for a short time at the Johnston Public Library.

There visitors can check out the mascots of the Sochi games, the athlete trading cards and of course, learn about the different sporting events.

Hoidahl’s display includes a tribute to Des Moines native and Olympian Lolo Jones.  On Sunday, Hoidahl added to his display with some of the history about her new sport, bobsledding.

“I thought that would be interesting for the people looking at the exhibit to see how everything has changed.  It looks to me like the old bobsled would be awfully dangerous,” Hoidahl said.

You can check out the Winter Olympics display at the Johnston Public Library all this month.
