GRINNELL, Iowa -- Jeb Bush stopped in Grinnell on Tuesday at the sight of the huge new Brownells distribution center, a firm that sells firearm parts and accessories.

Bush used the occasion to highlight his difference with President Barack Obama over guns.

"While I respect the emotion the president expressed with the loss of people, because we’re all concerned about that," said Bush. "I don’t respect the first impulse he always has, which is to take rights away from law-abiding citizens. It’s always his first impulse, it’s the impulse of Hillary Clinton as well."

Bush was also asked about working to help people with disabilities. He took that occasion to call Donald Trump a jerk for his recent comments which some said were making fun of a journalist with a disability.

"As it relates to Donald Trump, disparaging people with disabilities, who else would do it," said Bush. "No other candidate would say what he did mocking someone who had a severe disability- no one would do that..I mean are you kidding me?"

Bush was asked by reporters about his super pac attacks on Marco Rubio.

"I can’t control what anyone else does, I can control what I do, I’m advocating my record, plus plans to fix the mess in Washington," said Bush.  "Everybody is going to be scrutinized, this is not bean bag. in fact, I’ve been around a few cycles, and this is pretty tame so far."

Bush made stops in Coralville, Grinnell and Ankeny.
