Iowa’s Unemployment Rate Drops

DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa’s unemployment rate continues to drop.

Iowa Workforce Development reports that the statewide unemployment rate dropped to 4.1% in February from 4.2% in January.

Non-farm employment saw its first decline since September losing 400 jobs. The manufacturing sector added the most jobs in February.

Still more than 70,000 Iowans are out of work.
