Iowa State Football Players on Spring Break Pull Woman from Sinking Car

Some Iowa State Cyclone football players are being hailed as heroes after they rescued a woman from a sinking car while on Spring Break in Texas.

According to the Des Moines Register, three Iowa State players pulled a woman from a sinking car in Laguna Madre Bay near South Padre Island, Texas on March 16th.

The men saw the woman’s car plunge into the water while they were on their hotel room balcony. They were able to pull her out of the car through the windshield.

Anthony Lazard, Jack Spreen, and Joe Doran jumped into the water and swam to the car the free the woman.

They say the woman’s car completely sank in less than a minute.
