Images of Des Moines Bank Robbery Suspects Released

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is asking for help in identifying two bank robbery suspects.

The department released surveillance photos Monday from a robbery at the West Bank branch at 3839 Merle Hay Road that happened March 16th.

Police say the two suspects entered the bank around 2:18 p.m. last Wednesday. One showed a gun and ordered employees to get down on the floor. The other suspect jumped behind the counter and took money from the teller stations. The suspects were seen running from the bank, headed east.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect that displayed a gun is described as a black male, aged 15 to 20, about 5’8”, and 150 pounds. Police say he had a mustache and a goatee.

The second suspect is described as a black male, aged 15 to 20, about 5’10” to 6’0”, and 160 pounds.
