Police think they’ve located the car that hit an Iowa State student, and then fled the scene.

Iowa State Student, 22 year-old Tyler Clark, was hit on April 1st while riding his skateboard across Hayward Ave. in Ames.

The driver of the car that struck him didn’t stick around.

Tyler suffered four broken ribs, a strained shoulder and cuts and scrapes along the left side of his body.

Police say they’ve found the 2001 Lincoln LS that they believe was involved in the accident.  The car is owned by Daniel Habhab Sr. of Ames.

Police haven’t filed charges yet, but say they’re working to determine who was driving the car at the time of the crash.
