GOING DOWN: Gas Prices Drop To Three Year Low

The price at the pumps has fallen below $3-per-gallon for the first time in three years at many Des Moines gas stations.

Prices have been falling since July when oil prices also began to decline from the $100-a-barrel mark.

The government says the drop is partly due to greater supplies and lower demand during the cooler months.
