A woman who led police on a chase from Clive to Colfax early Sunday morning has been arrested.

Christina Stein was able to lose offers during the 20 minute chase but police later found her car at the scene of a crash. The 29-year-old was taken to the hospital and put on police hold but managed to walk out Monday.

US Marshalls arrested Stein at 1621 9th Street in Des Moines at around 4 p.m. Friday.

Police say she was wearing a wig to help disguise her identity.

“This is yet another example of the cooperative law enforcement efforts that happen on a daily basis in the Des Moines metro area.  We appreciate the willingness of the US Marshall’s Office to bring their considerable resources to bear to make these sorts of apprehensions possible,” Clive Chief of Police Michael Venema said.

Stein is in the Polk County Jail on fugitive from justice and felony eluding warrants. She is also wanted in Wisconsin for Parole violation.
