DES MOINES, Iowa — The federal trial of a woman accused of torching Casey’s City Hall has been continued.

Former city clerk Dorothy Dillinger had originally been scheduled to stand trial Monday. She is charged with five counts of mail fraud and one count of malicious use of fire.

Police say she set the building on fire in August of 2014, the day before a scheduled audit.

Dillinger is accused of misspending nearly $300,000 of city funds and set the fire to cover up the theft.

Her trial has been rescheduled for May.
