Fort Dodge Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting

FORT DODGE, Iowa — Authorities in Fort Dodge are asking the public for information related to an early morning shooting.

A caller reported hearing multiple gun shots in the area of 16th Avenue North 25th Street about 4:20 a.m. Sunday. The witness reported seeing a number of vehicles fleeing the area after the gunshots went off.

While en route, officers pulled over a vehicle that fit a description given by the caller. Officers arrested the driver, 22-year-old Michael White, of Gowrie, for disorderly conduct and interference with official acts.

Officers searched the area and found at least one bullet hole in a house in the area.
