Fort Dodge Man Arrested in Connection to Assault

FORT DODGE, Iowa – A man wanted in connection with an assault was arrested Wednesday morning.

On April 4, police say three men were involved in a fight in the alley next to O’Goodies Bar at 16 N. 7th Street in Fort Dodge.

25-year-old Damal Clayton allegedly punched 26-year-old Flower McNeil in the head during the fight, according to Fort Dodge Police

McNeil was later found on the ground outside the bar and was unresponsive. He was taken to the emergency room at a local hospital and then taken by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital. His condition is unknown.

Clayton was officially charged with willful injury Wednesday.

30-year-old Brandon Mapes was also arrested in connection with this case and charged with willful injury back on April 7.
