One year ago, Southeast Polk student Kelsey Michelson learned she had an inoperable brain tumor.
Doctors told her family she wouldn’t survive that Father’s Day weekend. Kelsey not only survived, she’s inspiring others this Father’s Day weekend.
“You can’t cry over things. My life almost ended last year…I could have sat there and cried but I didn’t,” said Kelsey.
Kelsey beamed as she danced on the Prairie Meadows Ballroom stage Saturday afternoon.
Though, she’s still a bit shaky on her feet it’s a special performance dedicated to her strength and perseverance.
Kelsey’s parents say her strength has changed the way they look at life. Now they don’t take anything for granted.
Kelsey and her family say they can’t thank the community enough for their prayers and support.
