This weekend the USS Iowa is in route to its final port of call.
The former battleship left the San Francisco Bay Saturday morning. The ship is making its trek down the coast where it will port in Los Angeles.
There, the battleship will open as a floating museum and visitors will be able to see what life was like on the Navy ship during it’s more than 50 years of operation.
The USS Iowa served in World War II and the Korean War. It was decommissioned in 1990.
