 Eastern Iowa officials are investigating the death of a woman hit by a train.

Authorities say it happened around 10 p.m. Friday night at a Union Pacific railroad crossing in DeWitt. 

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department says the train hit and killed 21-year-old Kristina Johnson of Davenport.

Authorities hope an autopsy and further investigation will reveal more information about the woman’s death.

According to the Quad-City Times, the victim’s brother, 12 year old Cody Moore and his friend, Brian Gregorich, 13, were also killed in an accident on the Union Pacific tracks near the Clinton County community in September 2003.
