The search for a missing Webster County teen will resume Saturday.

Authorities believe Michael Klunder abducted 15-year-old Kathlynn Shepard and her 12-year-old friend on May 20. The younger girl was able to escape, but Kathlynn has not been seen since.

Flooding caused the search near the Des Moines River to be stopped last week, but now that the river has gone down the search will continue.

The kidnapping prompted authorities in Black Hawk County to take a closer look at Klunder.  Cousins Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins were abducted last summer while riding bikes in Evansdale, their bodies were found six months later.

Investigators say while they are still tracking down Klunder’s whereabouts when that abduction occurred, he is not their sole focus and they are still considering other leads.
