ELECTION 2012: Candidates Back In Iowa

The election is still more than a month away, but President Obama and Governor Romney aren’t taking any chances with Iowa’s six electoral votes. Two Iowa Universities will host the candidates at different events on Friday.

President Obama will make his way back to Iowa, after he accepts the nomination at the Democratic National Convention Thursday night.  

He will be joined by the First Lady, Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden in Iowa City. They will address a crowd on the University of Iowa campus at 5 p.m.

Tickets are required and are available through Johnson County campaign offices.

Republican nominee Mitt Romney will be campaigning on the other side of the state. He is scheduled to speak at Northwestern College in Orange City at noon.
