It isn’t Halloween yet but kids can start trick-or-treating on Friday.

The Story County Conservation welcomes all ghouls, goblins and fun costumes out to Breezy Bay campground for a little pre-Halloween fun.

“Families can bring their kids out to a safe environment and walk through the campground where campers have decorated their sites, are wearing scary costumes, and are handing out candy,” said Park Ranger Dustin Eighmy.

Campers who participate by handing out candy or decorating their campsites could win a free night of camping. This is the fourth year the Story County Conservation has sponsored the event at the campground.

The trick-or-treating will be from 5:30 until 7 p.m. on Sept. 27 at the Breezy Bay campground.
