The famous Decorah eagles moved nests this year, away from the camera that allowed millions to watch live on the internet as they raised their young. That’s opened up a chance for another family of Iowa eagles to take the spotlight.

The stars of the Alcoa EagleCam have hatched their brood.

On Saturday afternoon, Alcoa Davenport Works confirmed that the first eaglet made its appearance into the world and was making a lot of movements under its parent. Then Monday, the second egg hatched.

The birds built their 7-foot nest in 2009 on Alcoa’s property near the Mississippi River. Eaglets in the past have been named by online voting.
