DRY CONDITIONS: Third Of State In Severe Drought

The condition of Iowa’s land is worsening. The drought report shows 32-percent of the state is now is severe drought.

The area in orange has grown by 10-percent from last week.

The red area is in moderate drought and the yellow areas are abnormally dry.

Currently only about 2-percent of the state, in green, is considered “normal”.

This report is put out weekly by the USDA and the National Weather Service.
