DROUGHT REPORT: Conditions Getting Better

The state’s drought situation is improving.

The latest report shows only about eight-percent of the state, mostly in the northeast corner, has adequate soil moisture.

However, there are fewer areas with abnormally dry to severe drought conditions.

About two percent of the state is still experiencing extreme drought conditions. That’s the same percent as last week.
