DRAKE SHOOTING: Family Takes Cover During Dinner

Des Moines Police are investigating a shooting that took place in the Drake neighborhood Wednesday night.

Around 7:30 p.m. a family was eating dinner at their house in the 2300 block of Drake Park when they heard 8 to 10 gunshots.

The four of them took cover to avoid being hit.

According to police a bullet entered the house shattering the glass front door and hitting a pillar in the family room, but no one was hurt.

Des Moines Police are still searching for the suspect.
