DES MOINES, Iowa — There are plenty of ways to connect to people around the world through social media.
Blue Compass studied how Iowans use social media. The survey found Facebook was the clear winner, with 43% of respondents saying the site is their favorite platform. Instagram was chosen as the favorite for 8% of those surveyed. Results also show people spend the most time on Facebook compared to other apps.
Blue Compass President Drew Harden said the company was surprised to find 31% of respondents in the 18 to 24 age range chose Facebook as their favorite social media platform, while 15% in that age range picked Instagram, and only 6% said Snapchat was their favorite.
