The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has launched an investigation into the discovery of a body in Tama Wednesday evening.
Police say a woman was found dead in a house at 104 Harmon Street. Authorities say they don’t believe the victim is a resident of the property.
Tama Police and the Tama County sheriff’s department are helping with the investigation.
“Right now we are investigating a homicide. We don’t know a whole lot of details yet. DCI has coming in to do an investigation,” Tama Police Chief Jeff Filloon said.
Police say two witnesses have been taken into custody.
