A man was arrested Saturday evening after trying to steal alcohol from Dahl’s Foods on Merle Hay Road.
A Dahl’s security officer chased after the man and used mace to control the situation.
The mace backfired and hit the officer, the alleged thief and a Dahl’s employee.
The employee suffered minor skin and eye irritation. In the chase, the security officer also injured his leg.
The suspect was apprehended and arrested.
