The Iowa Supreme Court says it won’t review the case of the former head of the Iowa Film Office.
The court issued its decision Tuesday.
Last year Tom Wheeler was convicted of one count of felonious misconduct in office. He was also found not guilty on eight counts of conspiracy and fraud.
As the head of the Iowa Film Office, Wheeler was in charge of monitoring the film tax credit program and signing off on filmmakers’ expense accounts — many of which were inflated by millions.
Wheeler never served any jail time for his crime.
