WAUKEE, Iowa — COVID-19 cases are at the highest they’ve been in Iowa and across the nation in months. As students settle into to yet another school year plagued by the pandemic; their peers, parents, and teachers weigh on their concerns regarding masks, vaccines, mental health in a town hall moderated by NBC’s Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. The town hall’s special guests featured CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky and U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.
