DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Public Health has confirmed the first death associated with COVID-19 in Iowa.

The person was an older adult (61-80 years) and a resident of Dubuque County.

On Tuesday, the Iowa Department of Public Health announced 19 more Iowans tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Iowa to 124.
