Her kids small hands may not be efficient, but Kari Borlaug says they`re doing God`s work. Borlaug says, “It`s important for little kids to know that they can do gods work, even if it`s just a little bit of an amount.”

Whether it`s sewing quilts for the less fortunate, or landscaping a school`s campus, more than 100 members of Redeemer Lutheran Church are helping out in their Indianola community. Pastor Carrie LaPlante says, “Not only is it about us getting out in the community getting to share with them. but it`s about giving us an opportunity to build our camaraderie and build our identity as a community of Christ in Indianola together.

These volunteers joined more than 10,000 other congregations celebrating the Evangelical Lutheran Church In America’s 25th anniversary with a day of service.

Their hands may be small, but with the right focus. Borlaug says anyone can do God`s work.
