The first round of interviews start Friday to find a new director for the Des Moines Charter School.
Five finalists have made it to the interview round to serve as the new director.
The second round on interviews is June 26th and leaders hope to have a director in place by July 1st.
The Charter School Advisory Council delayed the start of classes of weeks to allow the new director time to settle into the position. Classes are now slated to begin August 1st.
The school’s current director, Nina Rasmusson, resigned in April amid criticism of her leadership skills. Her resignation is effective June 30th.
