Three people are in custody, charged with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old Hamilton County girl Thursday afternoon.
The Story County Sheriff’s Office says a 911 call was made at 2:43 p.m. by a woman at Peterson Park, saying a woman had come out of the woods claiming she had been raped.
When deputies arrived they interviewed the alleged victim who told them she had been abducted from the backyard of her rural Hamilton County home by three white males. She says they brought her to the park, where all three assaulted her.
The three suspects, one adult and two juveniles, were located and interviewed about the incident. The Story County Sheriff’s Office released Friday, the suspects have been charged in the case.
Twenty-year-old Mason Reilly of Ames is charged with 2nd degree sexual assault. He is being held in the Story County Jail on a bond of $25,000.
The other two suspects, who are both 16-years-old, are being held at the Juvenile Detention Facility in Eldora. It will be up to the Story County Attorney whether they are tried as adults.
