One person is dead following a car crash at the Dallas Center Airport Tuesday afternoon.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 1:45 p.m. at 24572 North Avenue. Officials say a vehicle hit a building at the airport and one person is dead.

Officials say the scene was hazardous.

“He was hauling liquid protein, which is an animal feed of some sort. Then we have power issues with MidAmerican that we’re working on. All of those as we extract the vehicle,” Lieutenant Adam Infante with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office expalined.

The name of the deceased has not been released and investigators are still looking into what caused the crash.
