DES MOINES, Iowa — Apparently, sleep is overrated. Drake University students who weren’t awake around 2:30 Wednesday morning missed out on the opportunity to meet a superstar on campus.

Drake, the rapper, followed through with his Instagram promise to visit the campus of Drake University. Drake posted a photo of himself posing on the Drake University sign to his Instagram account along with videos of him stopping by at the sorority houses for Kappa Kappa Gamma and Kappa Alpha Theta.

Even before Drake’s October 4th concert at Wells Fargo Arena was announced, students had been trying to get Drake to visit the campus that shares his name by using the hashtag, #BringDraketoDrake.

On campus Tuesday, students gathered — hoping to catch a glimpse of Drizzy after he left a response to an Instagram post from the university of a Photoshopped picture of Drake on campus. He replied, “I’mma pull up on ya,” but students were disappointed when Drake didn’t show-up before his Tuesday night concert.

Drake also posted several pics from the concert to his Instagram. The rapper was decked out in Drake University gear for the show.
