If practice makes perfect, Marvin McNutt should be flawless for the Eagles on Sunday. The  former Hawkeye receiver has been on Philly’s practice squad all season. McNutt was activated when Desean Jackson was put on Injured Reserve. Marv may or may not see the field when the Eagles take on the Cowboys, Sunday night.

The Hawkeye basketball team won’t leave the state of Iowa until next year. The Hawks won’t leave Iowa until January 6th for a game at Michigan. Iowa’s next seven games are in the state of Iowa (one will be played in Des Moines against UNI).

Fred Hoiberg’s Cyclones have a big game on Saturday against BYU. ISU needs this one after back-to-back losses. The Cougars are 5-2 with losses to Florida State and Notre Dame.

The Iowa State and UNI volleyball teams hit the floor tonight in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. Both teams hope to punch tickets to the Sweet 16. ISU has made the Elite 8 in two of the past four seasons.

I’m not jealous of Nebraska football fans about too many things, but this bitchin’ leather jacket is one of them. We are told that you can’t just go out and buy one of these bad boys — you have to earn them.
