Autopsy Report of Iowa State Student Completed

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The autopsy results in the death of an Iowa State University student are now in the hands of prosecutors.

Twenty-year-old Tong Shao was reported missing on September 17th, nine days after she was last seen by friends. The search ended on September 26th when her body was found in the trunk of her car in Iowa City.

The cause of death is not being released.

Police have served two search warrants in connection with the case.They are yet to make an arrest.

Police say Shao’s boyfriend, 23-year-old Xiangnan Li, is a person of interest in the case, however they believe he returned home to China shortly after Shao went missing.
