NEWTON, Iowa – Authorities in Iowa are searching for two men who they say are missing from the Newton minimum security Correctional Release Center.

According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, inmate Michael Amodeo was not present during a routine count at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. The second inmate, Jessy Foley, was also not present during the second count at about 10 p.m.

Amodeo is serving a 10-year sentence for possession of controlled substance from Polk County and prohibited acts-meth from Warren County.

Foley is serving a 27-year sentence from Polk County for possession of controlled substance, prohibited acts-meth and voluntary absence.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Amodeo or Foley should call 9-1-1 immediately.
